Matcha Green Tea Latte
What you’ll need:
1 teaspoon matcha powdered green tea
2 cups milk or milk substitute
1 tbsp. sweetener (optional)
This creamy, caffeine-rich matcha green tea latte recipe is the perfect replacement for your morning coffee. Matcha is a powdered green tea from Japan, traditionally used in the Japanese tea ceremony.
In a small bowl combine matcha powder and 2 tablespoons warm water. Whisk with a bamboo whisk or fork until mostly blended into a paste. Add matcha paste, milk, and any sweetener into carafe and use Quick Chai Setting, 1 minute brew time.
Set steep time to three minutes, or less time for a lighter flavor, more time for a stronger flavor. Your last setting remains in the device and is updated once you change it.
